Kites
A kite
chained to the window pane
I tried to set it free
The string cut my finger.
It rained that night
The kite tried to fly away
But i held it back,
It stayed, grumbling.
A clear autumn sky
Filled with colorful kites
My fettered kite pleaded,
I was adamant.
And then it rained again
Lightning struck my prisoner,
The kite was no more.
And i lost a “friend”.
A new dawn,
A new kite came crashing
on my doorway.
I took it to my terrace
I tied it to the string
the old kite had left.
I gave it back to the sky,
And it flew away

This was very symbolic to me ! i could relate to this in a way .. in terms of relationship first and then our possession of things too .. very well thought and written 🙂

Hmmm…quite symbolic! Liked the concept and theme, but missed the flow! Changes that mark our lives are beautifully written though….
