meriAwaaz app: Governance at fingertips
Posted by Agnivo Niyogi
Meri Awaaz is a movement of social change to make governance delivery accessible and accountable. The launch of the android app marks the beginning of this journey.
Using the app, people can report issues about roads, electricity, water, law and order, sanitation, transportation and the system detects the location automatically and allows users to submit other details like photos and complaint.

The complaints made by users will be automatically routed to the responsible official in the respective departments. The official can see the complaint details on the app’s easy-to-use dashboard and respond efficiently and quickly. Complaints also get automatically escalated if not addressed in a particular time.
Higher officials can also evaluate the performance of the officials under them while looking at the overall health of their department. The system also tracks key performance metrics average response time, issues pending, average redressal time across different services, departments and wards.
How it works
Mahatma Gandhi had once famously said “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. Join this unique social movement and make this app a tool to force the government to become answerable to the public. It is time for governance to become responsible, accessible and accountable.
I would like to congratulate Aditya and his team for coming up with this superb initiative. Hope this initiative becomes a roaring success.
