Severed Heartstrings

The drop pierced the clouds,

Parched earth sighed in relief…

My soul  fettered, clamours for freedom…

Tears rolled out of the dam.
Sorrows of life, miseries of day,

The wet pillows of the night,

Unreturned calls, memories unclaimed,

Words run out, parchment blanked…

Severed emotions, joyless celebrations,

Unspoken words clamour for space…

Miles of rusted strings, one soothing touch,

Missing you the most, dear friend… My love.
