Ice, Eyes?
Yes i loved love.
On a sultry afternoon
Underneath the fan
Romanced the thoughts.
Yes i loved love.
Running away from life
Looking back at time
Watching myself in despair
Yes i loved love.
Torment of soul
Memories in labour
A new script is born
In the ashes of glory
Love says i wither
The fall flies over to the trees
touch of the darkness
Fills the room with light
Love dies and lives again
Love remains. Unvanquished.
In pain.
Yes i loved love.
In the skies, under the ocean,
Yes i loved love.
When a new day was born again.

You kept on repeating “Yes i loved love”… and the repetition worked to bring out the essence of the word…
